Long fiber in pellet form

PLASTRON materials are manufactured in long pellet form, typically 11 mm long and 3 mm in diameter. Fibers are continuous, parallel, equal to the pellet's length, and thoroughly encapsulated with resin.

Burning off the resin matrix reveals the three-dimensional network of reinforcing fibers in the molded parts. The long fiber entanglement provided the structure beneath the resin and gives PLASTRON its excellent properties; high temperature properties, creep, fatigue, dimensional stability, and wear resistance.
